CrossFit Classes

CrossFit classes are the core offering of CrossFit Chosen. CrossFit, as described by CrossFit.com is “constantly varied functional movements performed at relatively high intensity. All CrossFit workouts are based on functional movements, and these movements reflect the best aspects of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing and more. These are the core movements of life.”

On Ramp Classes

CrossFit is designed in such a way that literally anyone can do it. All movements have scaled or modified versions allowing each individual athlete to progress at their own rate. With that said, to attend classes and do so safely, it’s important that each member has a basic and fundamental understanding of the core movements incorporated into CrossFit Classes. The OnRamp program is a 2 week session of 6 total classes. While the classes are focused on teaching the movements, we guarantee you’ll still get a great workout in while you’re learning.

Olympic Lifting

Olympic Lifting Class is a barbell specific class that focuses on the major Olympic weightlifting movements.  Each lift will be broken down into its fundamental pieces to gain proficiency in each movement. A specific program will be put together to increase strength across all lifts. This class is designed to compliment CrossFit classes, but anyone looking to become more proficient at movements like clean and jerk, and snatch this is for you.

HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Classes

HIIT is a training idea in which low to moderate intensity intervals are alternated with high intensity intervals.

HIIT can be applied to running or to exercises such as squatting. HIIT is considered to be much more effective than normal cardio because the intensity is higher and you are able to increase both your aerobic and anaerobic endurance while burning more fat than ever before.

In research, HIIT has been shown to burn adipose tissue more effectively than low-intensity exercise – up to 50% more efficiently. It has also been shown to speed up your metabolism which helps you burn more calories throughout the day.

Kids CrossFit

CrossFit Kids is a strength and conditioning program specifically designed for kids to help them develop a lifelong love of fitness. Amanda Petroccione, Head CrossFit Kids Coach, will develop workouts that are constantly varied to keep it broad, inclusive and scalable for any participant, at any level.

Classes are 50 minutes in duration. Kids may choose one of two twice-weekly programs or an unlimited membership allowing attendance for any of the classes.

  • Ages 6-11
    • Tuesday & Thursday OR Monday and Wednesday
    • 3:40 – 4:30
    • Bus Transportation is arranged from the primary school.

Teens CrossFit

CrossFit Teens (ages 11-17) is a strength and conditioning program specifically designed for teens to help them develop proper functional movement patterns and promote a lifelong love of fitness. Experienced coaches will develop workouts that are constantly varied to keep it broad, inclusive and scalable for any participant, at any level.

Classes are 1 hour in duration. Children may choose from one of the following membership options:

  • Twice Weekly
    • Tuesday and Thursday
    • 3:00 – 4:00
  • Three times per Week
    • Monday, Wednesday and Friday
    • 3:00 – 4:00
  • Unlimited
    • Monday through Friday
    • 3:00 – 4:00

Bus Transportation from school is available on the Bus 80/Superman bus. After-school care is available until 5:30pm. Contact Us for more information.
